Firstly, Happy New Year and may 2015 bring much prosperity!
Personally I’m not one for new years resolutions – why do so many resolutions require us to ‘give-up’ something (chocolate, alcohol, social media)? simple psychology proves that ‘negative’ objectives (e.g. giving up…) are less successful than positive (e.g. being more…).
So this year I’ve decided to be more….
Creative
Fun
Innovative
Educated
Athletic
Exhilarated
Knowledgeable
It’s hard not to be excited by the future if you’ve read Nesta.org.uk predictions for 2015, who’d have thought Smellovision could be anything but a pipe dream or science fiction – TV cookery may never be the same again! The idea of 21st Century crafting using digital fabrication really appeals to my creative and innovative leanings.
I predict that the impending election will deliver more than a few laughs (can I mention Nigel Farage?!) supporting my fun goal.
What are your predictions for this year?
Here’s to 2015, I’m raising a glass (I didn’t give it up!) and looking forward to whatever the year brings.
