The good news is that just weeks after my final exam (Business and Management BSc, UEA) this year I was able to find full-time employment in the form of a Business Development role at Zing Insights! Commencing on June 10th as one of two new recruits at Zing, this is an opportunity to develop my skills and experience within a highly professional agency environment.
This is excellent news because the last thing I’d want is to spend months in limbo, between full-time education and full-time work. Best of all, this practical experience in a commercial marketing environment is absolutely ideal for me in terms of my career progression! Already I have been involved with direct and database marketing utilizing addressable media, sponsorship, personal selling and PR.
Three weeks in, I have enjoyed the chance to begin developing a marketing strategy, co-ordinating our contribution to the GoGo Gorillas! project and attending numerous exhibitions and events.

Watching Mary Berry bake an orange cake and Paul Hollywood make brioche at BBC Good Food Live 2013 was certainly a job perk but attending Marketing Week Live 2013 has been the biggest bonus from my new role. Alongside my responsibilities I was given the chance to spend time considering my career development and attending marketing seminars. Meanwhile the Zing team were busy capturing visitor feedback for Europe’s premier marketing event.
